Or, in plainer words, DONATE! Yes, the famous Birthday Book Club is open for business for the 2006-2007 school year. For the 15^th year in a row the library is encouraging people to spread the word that READING IS FUN by sharing. Give a brand new or gently used hardcover or paperback book, videotape or DVD to our library. Present us with a magazine subscription or a read-along cassette/CD.

Commemorate a birthday! You can also honor a special person in your life. Contribute materials in remembrance of someone, even a family pet. A bookplate with the name of the honored person will be inserted and the donor will receive a special bookmark. A listing of donors will be in the newsletter and on our website.

The upcoming magazine drive, the early December book fair and Scholastic book orders through individual classes are exellent ways to purchase. Call us or stop in for our recommendations. We especially appreciate newly published items from winter of 2006/spring of 2007 as well as works from best-selling and award-winning authors. Books based on popular movies or television shows are popular as are books written by celebrity authors. We have several series that need updated.
